Editorial

Dear Visitor,

The field of microfluidics has evolved in a breathtaking fashion from what many regarded as just another scientific craze, to one of the most vivid disciplines of microtechnology. The evolution has been accompanied and fostered by the progress on behalf of underlying technologies as well the demand from applications. Several microfluidics-based products have already been commercially successful, in particular for modern inkjet technology and in the rapidly emerging life science markets.

With best regards
